Hi guys! Any Spring Admits here? I’d love to talk to you. 
@AlexiDingDong You should definitely appeal. Speak to the financial aid office and explain the situation and ask them how to proceed. Make sure you mention your parents’ situation and that several other schools gave you a zero EFC. It may be that they did not have all the info. In my experience they are very helpful and fair.
I will say that it’s apples-to-oranges to compare MHCs offer to Hampsire’s, though. MHC is a “meets full need” school, so they have a specific calculation that they use to figure out your family’s EFC. Hampshire does NOT claim to meet full need, so their awards are more like merit aid. It’s great that they aren’t asking you to pay anything at all. I’m only saying that the two schools use different methodologies to come up with aid numbers… and maybe MHC just needs a little clarification of your parents’ situation!
Good luck, MHC is a terrific school. But if you do end up going to Hampshire, you can always take classes at MHC and hang out there! My D has Hampshire friends…
Has anyone received an admitted student packet in the mail? I haven’t, and I think that’s pretty odd considering decisions went out more than a week ago.
@vellichor Admit packets went out March 23 according to the official MoHo 2020 Facebook group
We just got mail here and I was sort of expecting to see D’s but the package has not yet reached southern Virginia anyway.
@AnimalLover0209 , I am not spring admit and I am not from India. I am a Pakistani American but lived most of my life in Canada, and born in USA and lived in US and Pakistan also in addition to summers in Dubai and UK, so truly international.
I have been admitted to regular session in Fall and intend to join. I will be there to welcome you and other spring admits and will be glad to answer any questions in fall before your arrival. In great scheme of things 4 months is not huge and if MHC is where you want to be, you should not choose any other college just because of this one reason.
Hope to see all of you in MHC.

Please know that MHC financial services has an appeal form that you can submit so that they take a second look at your financial situation.
