Awkward thread title, je sais. So, I was wondering who has applied ED and is excited...since it appears this is one of the few college specific forums lacking such a thread. And, does anyone know when notification of MHC's decision is mailed out? I know the website stipulates 1/1, but it's usually earlier, right? Anyone know exactly?

I think they try their best to have decisions out before Christmas, but say 1/1 just to give themselves enough leadway. At least that's how it was when I applied there ED :-p I hope it's the same now (my cousin is also applying there early and she's having the same thoughts!).
Best of luck! It's an amazing place!

Hey Adeline, cool, I thought that was around when, and after reading through older messages on CC, it seemed like most people received their decisions between 18-23 December. Thank you too. I absolutely love MHC, fingers crossed, I am so excited, and nervous.

i'd not walked to this mhc forum becuse it was listless, noone commenting !
but wow!!! nice initiative deroutefille... let's make this a burning forum...hehe
yaya i've also done ED 1 and now waiting for the nice reply <hope we="" all="" do="" that=""></hope>

wow seems like this year I'm gonna get a good , infact the best , christmas gift ever! yay i'll get it... and u too dero <ur name="" is="" too="" long="" ,="" sorry="" i="" made="" it="" short=""></ur>

Dero, that's cool. There may well be a nice Christmas present in store, but I am trying my very best to clear my mind of the letter to come two and half, three weeks from now...because I could daydream forever. So, might anyone know, thick or thin envelope? Apparently it's quite common to continuously receive "Apply to MHC!" letters long after you've applied (in thin envelopes)...which can be distracting and deceiving. But thick or thin, anyone? I am so excited though. Beyond words. Can't hardly wait.

And like Sweta said, let's rev this board! Thanks Sweta!

i think it's thick envelope... well, whenevr i see pll writing about being accepted, they mention the thick envelope... and i too daydream a lot <sigh> everytime i imagine going to mount holyoke in a big plane from nepal... and the dorms... and the food.... ;) i am also very excited :)</sigh>

yay, lets keep this board active, but seems doro - u and i are only the active ed gals out here ...

i have my fingers crossed for both of us now

Oh no, I know acceptance letters are traditionally thick, and rejection letters thin. However, many schools now send thin acceptance letters, not thick. I just was curious if anyone knew thickness/thinness in relation to acceptance/rejection at MHC. Either way, just have to open it!

btw, did u get your username and pasword stuff to view your application status?
<i haven't="">
and i am so much worried
<i haven't="">

when do they send the decision... really before christmas?.... biting nails... darn!

Uh-oh. I got my letter with my password and pin for ISIS about two and a half weeks ago. I would definitely contact admissions, asap, Sweta. It may just be an error, but you'll want to ensure all your application materials made it. Fingers crossed!

And the decision is definitely before Christmas (though I don't know how long airmail takes to Nepal). December 16-ish I believe.

yesterday, I chatted with the adcom members in the "intl MHC chat room" and tehy say tht they'll not send the decisions ELECTRONICALLY, rather will EMS teh traditional thick envelopes... and TEHY WILL BE SENDING THE DECISIONS SOON re ( most probably next week)... so all the best...
I found out they they've received all my app requirements and are reviewing me!!!

Right. The ISIS page also states you will not receive your decision online. But I like it better in the traditional mail. Did you get your pin and pass? That's good to know all your stuff is in. A week or so to go! Can't wait!

NOPES! i aien't got the pin and isis stuff but the adcom members i wrote to let me know that all the required apps have reached them, so m just eagerly waiting just as she suggested me to ;)

Me too- can't wait... but we have to...ryt? GOOD LUCK!!!

<and please="" let="" me="" know="" once="" you="" receive="" your="" decision=""></and>

Okay, you know, I am just going to go ahead and start with a countdown here, okay? That's we use Friday as our day of dispatch on letters. It's now forty minutes EST into Tuesday the 13th.

THREE DAYS...and I don't know, 12-15 hours!!!

And I am forgetting basic English grammar just in time...let's use Friday and not that's we use

okiz
it's tues the 14th in nepal too... 2:00 pm... wohow ..... MHC I'M COMING!!!

There's a psychological edge you have in that time difference, Sweta! Even though you may get your letter later, you just seem that much closer. I wonder if they've made the decisions yet...most likely, right? I keep have MHC dreams...any current MoHo's want to comment on the type of packaging letters came in? It's a popular, yet arbitrary discussion.

yea true, very true infact!!!
I GOT MY PIN CODE TODAY!!!
please MHC students adn alumna let us know about the envelopes and decision stuffs!!! pliz :)

The letters usually come in the standard "big envelope" form. Hang in there ladies, I know the waiting is tough! Sparkles and best wishes to you all!

oh m waiting for the biggggggg envelope to arrive soon for me!!!
THANK YOU ADELINE.
