Has anyone else not received their acceptance packet yet?

@Jakally: They sent me an email stating that they are going to fly me in with all expenses paid, and on the admitted students program registration form, you could have asked for airfare aid if you registered before a certain date I think it was the 23rd.

yup i got a similar email right after my acceptance email about going to an all expense paid trip to visit campus. unfortunately i am unable to go. right now still deciding whether or not to go to moho. its definitely top 2. any advice???

When you received the email with the invitation to visit the campus, had you ever visited the campus before? I guess I’m trying to understand who would have received these emails with the invitation to visit the campus with additional airfare help. We did visit about a year and a half ago, but daughter is still not sure of her decision. (We live about 1,000 miles away.) MHC is one of her top two choices… Thanks.

I haven’t.
International from a low-income family who has never visited.^^

I am an accepted transfer student for fall 2011. Have either of you decided on accepting MHC’s offer?

I’m still waiting to hear back from Bryn Mawr, Wellesley and Scripps, but they are incredibly competitive so I feel it’s pretty likely I won’t get in. By when do we need to let MHC know of our decision?

(P.s. Have you received your acceptance packet? I still haven’t…)

I’m waiting for Bryn Mawr, Wellesley, and Barnard so I know how you feel. I was wondering the same thing. I haven’t had the chance to call, but I am going to Monday. No package for me either, but they sent me an email of congratulations and the ISIS account gives me the option to send in the deposit.

Same here although I don’t think I got a congratulatory email!

Hey,
do any of you perhaps more accurate to the criteria which will be decided by who can move up from the waiting list if a place becomes available. I asked the admissions office after and told me there were no rankings, what to look for the words the students are allowed to move up from?

@sindthia - I don’t think there is a way to move up if there is no ranking. I have heard that you should make sure MHC knows that you are really interested like sending a letter to admissions. This is all hearsay though.

@MBtown
As you might be right to have even told me that can occupy the students who most interested in Mount Holyoke are most likely the seats available. Do you think you can somehow get to the ranking or do you think that this is not possible?

@sindthia - I thought there was no ranking?

Yes there was no ranking she said but she even said they look how interest the students are so she told me.

I’m still thinking, I’m waiting for wellesley and scripps’ answers too! I haven’t gotten my packet either. Maybe ours are being sent later, since they’re different from first-years. Seconding the question about when we have to decide by!

@ itspop: I received my packet today! Hopefully yours will arrive soon. I don’t think I saw anything about when the reply date is, but I didn’t look through the envelope very carefully since I had already read the decision letter on ISIS. There is an invitation to the admitted student weekend (4/10-4-11) and a housing form/reply form, I believe.

Nevermind, reply date is May 1.

@transfer014 - Do you know if we can extend the date?

@ MB: I would assume we can’t…for me, it’d feel more than a little awkward to tell them I’m waiting on other schools.

@transfer014 - hahaha I know it would be weird, but $300 is a lot.
