Mount Holyoke RD Waiting

No I’m not  but you are definitely right, transfer students are underrepresented! Which college are you transfering out of?

Wait… Does everyone have the “Spring Entrance” thing under “Especially for You” or is it really only for Spring admits? I definitely didn’t apply for spring transfer admission.

Pinklilyflower, actually Smith College is my first choice while Mount Holyoke is my 2nd choice. It all depends on what I hear from Smith today. However, with the five college consortium, we’ll certainly see each other in the fall!

Everyone has it. It freaked me out too.

@Adidas: Thank GOD!!! Certainly, entering in the Spring is an awesome opportunity for some. I definitely would not feel like it were a good fit for me, though.

Did all of you get your acceptance packet? I saw some talk about the acceptance packet going on…

I’m international, so I understand that it might take some time to reach, but decisions came out a week back, and I haven’t received anything so… ?

okay, I just got my acceptance packet like half an hour back. Talk about good timing. :)

I am not international, and I still haven’t received the packet yet. However, the mail in my area kind of sucks, so it’s probably that…

Internationals get it through UPS actually. So maybe that’s why we got it so soon.

Im an intl and I dont have a packet yet, I dont have a FA award either…anyway Im in right? Or could they just not send me a packet and rescind my admission without any reason?

@AdidasNike: They wouldn’t do that to you, your mail is probably taking a long time. If it says on your portal that you got in, then you got in  Although, maybe on Wednesday or something, if you haven’t received your packet, you should email someone from admissions and ask about the packet. I hope this helps :)

Just got packet in WA state today, so don’t worry anyone until Monday or Tuesday. Especially internationals-- delivery can really vary!!

Found out I’ve been accepted about a week ago! Super excited; had lots of LOR’s and a 30 on the ACT.

Unfortunately my parents just told me I won’t be able to attend the formal admitted students’ weekend because it would cost us about $3,000 in travel costs :frowning: I live in northern California, so it’s more difficult to get out to South Hadley.

Is it vital that I attend that specific weekend to get a real taste of MHC? Or is it the same if I attend another visitation day?

It is not vital to attend ANY pre-orientation visitation day. Just show up in September for orientation. If you wait until then, you will be even more excited about going! The visitation day is really to convice acceptees who were also accepted elsewhere to go to MoHo. If you have already decided upon MoHo, and if you live far away, it’s not worth the time and money to go to a visitation day. Just relax and enjoy the last few weeks of high school (but don’t flunk out).

I’m another transfer student who got in!
@ adidasnike: that is a huge relief. Is there a way to check online for if we actually were admitted for spring and not fall?

Just got the acceptance packet through UPS. Dated March 11, wow, took a long time.

Sent from my X10a using CC App

yah I didn’t get mine until yesterday…

Accepted with a leadership scholarship. MoHo is my “4th” choice, but of the 3 above it, I will likely get into 1, so who knows? The likelihood of me ending up at MoHo is very high

I got accepted…rly confused on whether I should attend Mount Holyoke or not…I am just not sure…Will anyone give me a heads up on what it is like there? how the dorms are like? whether it is possible to get a increase in financial aid…etc?
Thanks

My daughter has been accepted to MHC. She is also considering another college in Boston. I read earlier that some accepted students were offered airfare transportation to visit the campus in April. Is this true? I don’t believe she was made this offer, although she did receive a nice scholarship and grant. We live about 1,000 miles away, so it’s not easy for us to visit. Can anyone provide further details about this offer? Thank you.
