I hope someone can give some guidance....I am having moving in day conflicts between S and D twins. As this is their first year, I want to be both places at the same time, or as close to that as possible. S will be going 2hrs south and D 11 hours east.
I am considering driving a carload over early (11 hr trip), using a storage facility and then flying in for move in day with a rental car.

I searched google but did not come up with anything. I would imagine something like this does exist! I knew someone here would know.

I would love to ship to a storage unit. Does anyone know if this is possible?

I don’t know about storage in Hamilton, but you’re going to have to fly into Syracuse anyway and there are plenty of storage places in Syracuse. It’s an easy 45 minute drive to Colgate.

My D used a place on Broad Street near the apartments. I am trying to track down the name. In the meantime, this place is close also.

I am PMing you with another idea.

Ok, I got the name of the place my D used - I was wrong it is on Maple it is the closest one to campus…

It worked out great when my D and her roomate used it for the summer.
Good luck!!!

You might also want to check with the Colgate mail room to see if packages can be shipped right to the school (and held) in the few weeks prior to orientation. I have used this service on multiple campuses. Usually the only stipulation is regarding the timing of the packages.
Most universities have to accommodate students who travel from abroad and have some sort of procedure in place for large boxes that arrive prior to the student.

I’m pretty sure you can ship things ahead of time, but I can’t remember the time limit. Call [Colgate University : Mail Services](http://www.colgate.edu/offices/support/mailservices.html) and ask - I’m sure they get that question a lot every year.

Keep in mind that the mail room is actually not THAT huge… so definitely check about sizes of packages that you can ship.
