My son is on the 5th floor of Curtin Hall (East). Is there an elevator in the building that can be used for move-in day? I don't think that I am strong enough to help him carry everything up five floors.

Good question! How about Beaver Hall? My D is on the 4th floor, an elevator would be wonderful.

There will be a huge crowd of upperclassmen decked out in move-in shirts at East, especially, to help carry things. Elevators tend to just slow you down :)

Yes, all the buildings in East have elevators. D moved in Geary last year and move-in was very well organized and ran smoothly. you will pull up on the grass close to the building and they give you 20 mins to unload the car. UpperClassmen are around with carts to help out or if you’re lucky one will be free. Rooms in east although small like the others are smartly setup and evenlly divided down the middle

I have to say our experiences with move-in day (Freshman year in East and Soph year in West) were great. Although there were lines for the elevators - we were met at the car by multiple students who helped us carry in my son’s things. It really wasn’t more than one or two trips because we had so much help.

Are there still doorms are any housing still available?
