We are no longer friends. The fact that both movies have Bogart, Lorre and Greenstreet alone make them awesome.

Last movie I watched was Cape Fear (the old one). It’s about a man whose family is being stalked by a man he testified against and so put in jail. Good movie. Robert Mitchum was awesome and terrifying.

Salt was atrocious. I’m not sure what happened to the laws of physics, or medical science in that movie.

The first half was her being chased by the CIA, pulling incredibly stupid and cliche stunts. Hell, when she got on the helicopter in the end, I made a bet with my friend that she’d jump off the helicopter (which, incidentally, did happen).

Inception (spoiler): Goes without saying that I thought it was good, so there’s not much more to say. Although I did read an article that postulated that Cobb was dreaming in the end, and that the movie was a film about filming, showing how a catharsis in a plot we don’t seem to have any stake in (in a movie entirely about dreaming, you can do anything you want and so the audience can’t see any reason to worry about the protagonist) is just as valid as the catharsis in a movie about anything else, seeing as what goes on in a movie isn’t real at all despite the fact that the emotions you might feel are 100% real. Here’s the full article: [NEVER WAKE UP: THE MEANING AND SECRET OF INCEPTION](http://www.chud.com/articles/articles/24477/1/NEVER-WAKE-UP-THE-MEANING-AND-SECRET-OF-INCEPTION/Page1.html)

Despicable Me: “It’s so fluffy!” Lol, I thought it was really fun to watch. Agnes was so cute.

Predators: I’m a real fan of sci-fi movies, but I couldn’t really take this movie seriously. The only good thing I can say about seeing it was that I saw it for free. Still way better than AVP:R, though.

Dinner For Schmucks: The talent was there but it didn’t deliver. Funny in an okay-ish sort of way. I laughed out loud a few times. Average at best, considering the cast involved, but still funny enough. I expected more from it.

I watched Idiocracy after renting it yesterday, and I really liked it. Mike Judge did well with Office Space and Beavis and Butthead, so I was excited for it, and he delievered. It was smart comedy about stupid people, which is where some of the funniest stuff that is on film can be. The sad part about it was that it’s message is true. I later went to my local mall later that day, and commercialization was everywhere, and will only grow. I was suprised how much I liked Luke Wilson too, I hate those AT&T commercials.

^Yeah, in the entire 100+ year of American film history, those three are the only directors worth watching
And why did you pick Welles?

The Lord of the Rings is without doubt the best trilogy ever made into movies. The books are great, and the movies of them are staggeringly breathtaking. I mean, like, they took a virtually presenceless character like Legolas and took the opportunity to turn him into a really hot elf. Seriously.
