I just finished watching V For Vendetta for probably the sixth time. I love that movie and it is definitely one of my favorites. Great acting, great story, overall just very enjoyable.

Another all-time favorite of mine is Black Hawk Down... action-packed, well-directed and somewhat haunting.

My all-time favorite is The Godfather. Man, I could watch that movie all day.
A few of my other favorites are The Boondock Saints, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, The Breakfast Club and Meana Girls. As you can see, I like all types of films. :D

V for Vendetta was enticing the first time. After the second time, it became a cheeseball. I hate it when directors try to mix plot with action, it almost never works. This is why Transformers was disappointing, along with Avatar - the movie crashed and burned in the end. The only movie that I can recall that has the perfect blend of action and storyline was Terminator 3 - that one was ballin. Terminator Salvation was a disaster. Titanic was pretty ballin too. I remember seeing that movie in a theater, and my mom was covering my eyes during the tit scene. I think I was like 6 or something. First
American I ever saw. That one stuck with me. Now, when I think of 1912, I think of the Titanic. That’s about the only piece of history I possess.

I like movies that gots nothin else but action. Like Bruce Willis in basically all his movies. However, I hate Gerrard Butler movies. None of his movies are good. After watching 300, law abiding citizen and Gamer, I was just done watching him trashing his potential with action movies. So sad.

wHAT? avatar and transformers was disappointing because they plain sucked. have you even watched the avatar cartoon? it brilliantly mixes plot with action.

My favorites are Remember Me, The Duchess, Sherlock Holmes, and Edward Scissorhands. Probably in that order.

Confession: I regularly switch back and forth between The Duchess and Confessions of a Shopaholic during late night study sessions. I watched The Duchess four times during midterms and I think I have seen Confessions of a Shopaholic at least seventeen times. I am not sure why, but these are my go-to study movies.

Rymd, he was talking about blue people Avatar.

And how could I forget Office Space and American History X? Speaking of which I generally find anything Edward Norton plays a big role in to be at least somewhat good.

I enjoy comedy to some degree…but I find drama/mystery/thriller films with subtle humor more satisfying. For example, see The Prestige or the new Sherlock Holmes movie.

A good chick flick now and then…but it’s like the equivalent of eating a french fry. Doesn’t really fill me with inspiration or stimulation…boring :p.

Some chick flick favorites: Mean Girls and The Sweetest Thing
Some action favorites: The Dark Knight, All HP, Lord of the Rings trilogy, tons more
Some comedy favorites: The Wedding Crashers, Superbad, tons more

I’ve watched so many horror films that I can’t even remember which ones I thought were the scariest anymore.

OOH, I love The Prestige, too. I have just watched that one so to death that I am not allowed to watch it anymore. XD Mean Girls is a favorite, too.

I haven’t seen most of the movies you guys are talking about. shrug

Inception
The Prestige
The Bourne Trilogy
Shutter Island

I love a mix of thriller and action and movies that make you think with a suspense element to it. Not a fan of comedies and chick flicks are for when i want to watch something mindless.

Casablanca, The Philadelphia Story, Adam’s Rib, His Girl Friday, Sabrina (1954), Mogambo, To Have and Have Not, Charade, Gone With The Wind, To Kill A Mockingbird, Roman Holiday
