While I was at New Student Orientation, I took a tour of Wright Quad, where I'll be living this year. I asked for some measurements so I could figure out a layout and how much space I'd have, and they handed me a sheet titled "Wright Quad Room Information." It gives measurements and info on cable, computers, etc. Very helpful.
My question is:
The sheet says that "furniture must be left in the original setup... If a student wants the furniture moved or beds lofted, they can contact Bedloft..."
I knew that only Bedloft could loft the beds, but this makes it sound like if I wanted to just move the modular furniture around on the ground I'd have to send my instructions to Bedloft. Is this true? I looked on the Bedloft website, and they aren't furniture movers. They just rent stuff and loft beds, like I thought. So is the Wright sheet wrong, or am I missing something on the Bedloft site?
I just know that I want the furniture moved, but I don't need a bed loft in my single room.

In most rooms the furniture is all going to be built-in, so you can’t move it. If you have a room with non built in furniture, then you can move it yourself.

In wright you can move the furniture around. You can technically do what you want with the beds too since $100 is a little much to bunk beds or whatever. The only thing is that everything has to be how it was in the beginning when you leave for the year

Freshman year my roommate and I lofted our beds and then unlofted them midway through the semester. We didn’t utilize any services or pay anyone to do it. As long as your room is clean and all the furniture is intact when the year is over I don’t think they really care.

My son and his roommate didn’t pay anyone to loft their beds. It is easy to do on your own. (After lofting them, they decided to leave them as single beds so it would have been a complete waste of money!)
