Moving out?

I'm sure most people have thought about moving out, sometimes I'm so tempted and I know I could make it. I have a lot of friends who have moms or sometimes even dads that would always love for me to come stay with them if things got rough. I'm friends with alot of the girls on the softball team so I've been talking to their moms and sometimes about my problems and I know I could do it. I just really can't get along with my parents. My dad could give 2 ****s if I got straight A's, I mean I'm not an athlete so I'm not good enough for him and all he will do is make stupid jokes about me. If wondering why --- see my gay thread.

Anyways, has anyone moved out and made it? I think I could, I'm smart and driven. My sister moved out at 16,17, and 18. She always came back for a few weeks. She got into UCF, so she did it. I think I should if it gets too bad, I'm sick of dealing with them.

Thanks,
Chris

I myself would suggest boarding school. Yeah, some have tons of rules and a strict dress code (well mine does, but some are more lenient), but they can be a bit of an escape.
My mother had problems with her dad and sometimes left to stay with friends when it got bad, but she always came back when things cooled down a bit. Maybe you could do that.
