I've been in Georgia for around 12 years, and because of my parent's jobs, I will probably have to move to NY or NJ. I'm worried that I won't be able to adjust to the change (curriculum changes, quality of education, etc.) as a junior with only 2 years left of high school. Can anyone who experienced a move in the middle of their high school years share your stories?

P.S. Do NY high schools have marching bands?

I didn’t move in high school but I’ve moved 13 times and been to 11 schools. 5 elementary, 5 middle school, and 1 high school. If you take AP classes, the curriculum can’t change too much because the college board decides what you learn (damn them trying to control our minds). If you move in the summer, adjusting to a new curriculum is easier because you’ll start at the same place in a class as everyone else. I wouldn’t worry too much. Making friends is easy as long as you are friendly. Try to join a club or a sport (or marching band?) and you’ll fit in pretty fast. You can find out if a school has a marching band by checking their website, by the way.
