I'm an undergrad majoring in Public Health and French. I'm relatively locked into (assuming I get decent grades) a 4+1 (4 yrs undergrad, 1 year for an MPH) program at my current university (Tulane). I was wondering if it's wise to pursue a PhD following this. I've heard from professors a lot how they wish they had just gotten a Master's and called it quits. However, this is for bio, chem, etc, and I wanted to know whether the same goes for Public Health.

I've considered epidemiology, but I'm also considering getting the MSPH in Tropical Medicine.
