MS Mathematics, online

Hi all,

I am looking into MS Masters Mathematics programs online so I can upgrade what I can teach at my community college (teaching adjunct now) and maybe actually receive a faculty job someday! I have a bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and most of the MS Mathematics programs seem to think that the Engineering programs provide enough math background (trust me, I did more math than I thought ever existed!) and would let me in with taking minimal to no prerequisites.

I want to teach more as I am liking what I am doing, it has been joyfully refreshing after working in industry for over 15 years. The community colleges in my area require a Masters Degree in Mathematics or a related Masters degree with 18 hours in the subject being taught.

I have looked at the following schools:
–University of West Florida: Online MS Mathematics Program using Elluminate
–Texas A&M has a Master of Science in Mathematics
–Nicholls State University: MS in Mathematics

Does anyone have ANY experience with any of the above programs, and what the real costs would be for a full masters?

Do you know if any of them offer a graduate certificate and what the real cost of that would be? I have a degree in Masters of Management Information Systems and with a graduate certificate in Mathematics, I may be able to teach higher level classes and who knows, get hired as FT faculty?!

Thanks a lot!

I am also looking into getting a MS math degree online to expand my teaching opportunities. I currently teach at the High School level.
