Hey, could you post your stats? I want to know what it takes to get into OMSP for MSU. I really want to get in! Thanks in advance.
What is OMSP?
I just got my acceptance email on the 15th.
Here are my stats:
I had a 30 on my ACT
My cumulative unweighted highschool GPA is 3.619, with an upward trend except for this year.
I took all the AP classes my high school offers which is AP Chemistry (all A’s) and AP Comparative Gov, AP Calculus, AP Literature (In progress this year)
I also have the highest grades in my science classes (straight A’s in all science classes)
I also had a dual enrollment class for my foreign language (American Sign Language)
I participated in the OsteoCHAMPS summer program two years in a row and I also attended an NYLF medical camp.
I have been a part of student council for 2 years, student athletic trainer for 3, NHS for 3, I started a Pro Life club this year, I have been in girl scouts for 8 years working on my Gold Award.
I went on a mission trip last year with my high school and I mentioned that I was going again this year.
Hi, I was thinking about applying to this program and wanted to see how good of a shot I would have. Currently my GPA is a 3.80 weighted 3.69 unw, I attend a highly selective high school accepts about 75/250 highly competitive applicants. Will have taken essentially every possible AP class there is by 1st sem senior year (world history, U.S. History, language and comp, English, government and politics, macroecon, physics algebra based, stats, chem, literature and comp, Spanish, biology, physics calc based, java (computer programming), calc bc)
ACT is 30 (will be retaking)
extra curricular wise: HOSA, Indian American student association, Spanish club VP, NHS, Spanish NHS, student council, key club, founder/president of students against destructive decisions (SADD), 250+ shadowing/hospital volunteer hours, 3 week internship at DO cardiac surgeon, volunteering at place of worship, participated in MSU future DOcs and got accepted and will attend Osteochamps.
Awards and recognition: Barbara James service award, presidential service award at gold level, silver medalist in pharmacology knowledge test.
I also speak 5 languages.
