Hello everybody.
I am a sophomore in high school in Michigan. As I have posted on other threads I have family struggles going on so my GPA is fairly low (3.3). I am confident I can get that up as I am doing very well this trimester 4 A’s and 1 B+. I really want to get into this program because my dream job is being a doctor! My activities are HOSA, student athletic trainer, volunteer at hospital, will participate in osteochamps this summer, president of Chess club, and president of volunteer club, and about 30-40 volunteer hours. Thanks in advance for you responses and Go Green!
Sign up for the June ACT and start studying for it.
Ok thanks. Any people that have gotten into the program have any input?
I am currently in the program, and you should focus on increasing your GPA, as you must have a 3.5 to apply. I had a low GPA my 1st year in highschool but I had an overall upward trend and ended high school with about a 3.7 and 30 on my ACT. Participating in OsteoCHAMPS will greatly increase your chances, but you need to raise your GPA. Also, make sure you know people who will be willing to write you good recommendation letters, possibly a science teacher, someone you work with volunteering, etc.
