It would be OOS for ASU but the Money would be the same. It would be for computer engineering or computer science (90%-95% sure). Maybe Business but probs not (5%-10%). I like both sport team(Means some what more to me than others), Programs for education. ASU might not be a better school over all but for Engineering and Business it is up there. What would be the pros and Cons?

I am waiting on University of MICHIGAN after getting deferred but I will not get in.

SO Michigan State vs Arizona State University…

@icanhopecanti. What did you decide? We live in Arizona, but I went to MSU. My son is interested in mechanical engineering. ASU will likely end up cheaper. Honors College either way. Barrett at ASU is pretty awesome. I agree that MSU is the better school overall, but they are close in business and engineering.

MSU is the better school. ASU is a bit of a joke academically, but if you’re looking for a fun school and experience, ASU has a good reputation for being a fun place to go to school for a few years.

@informative I agree with regard to ASU, Barrett is better but you still graduate if you are one of the 30% who graduate with an ASU degree, one of 8000 who do so each semester, it’s big!, 7 out of 10 students do not graduate in 4 years, you will likely be in dorms one year then have to find a place to live or go back to mom and dad if you live in AZ. ASU is way over rated for fun, if you want AZ fun and parties go to U of A in Tucson, way more fun place.

But I agree that ASU academically really struggles for reputation, compared to even other state colleges, I would pick Michigan for reputation and more. Even if you go to Barrett where you can get in if you live in AZ with really quite low SAT/GPA, you will still graduate with an ASU degree and Barrett now has over 6000 student in it, small?
