MT Acceptance question?

My audition was last Saturday (The 29th of January.)
How fast do the rejection letters go out?
And when are we informed of acceptance and what not?

At my audition the current students said approximately 2 weeks is when rejection letters will have been sent out. As far as I know, we find out otherwise the end of March.

I’m not sure if they’re still doing it this year, but last year Pace also sent still in consideration emails.

I literally have gotten mail from Pace for the last three days, and every day I almost cry because I assume it’s a rejection letter. It turns out to be just congratulation letters for my admission into the Honors program/academic acceptance. Does anyone know if any rejections have been sent out? I’m hoping no news is good news right now.

i auditioned that day too. I’m hoping the same thing!

We’re waiting here too - does anyone know if the rejection letters went out yet? They told us within a week or two (since there were more auditions coming up on the following weekend). D auditioned also on the 29th.

I auditioned on the 5th of February. In my acceptance letter into the school, it said musical theater acceptance decisions will be made by March 30th. I don’t quite know what that means exactly…if we will know by that day, or if they send letters out that day, etc. I guess I am a little confused about the rejection letters going out earlier than others. What are we to think if we do not receive a rejection letter? To me it makes sense that all decisions would be made and then letters -whether rejection, wait-list, or acceptance- would be sent out at the same time. Can anyone clear this up??

Congrats on your academic acceptance to Pace, Jake! I am certainly not an expert on this, and of course processes may vary from previous years, but can share with you how it happened last year (and seems to be for the past few years according to other previous posts I have read).

I believe that within a few weeks after your audition you will receive notification to let you know you are not being considered for the program OR notification that you are still being considered (last year it was an e-mail). If you receive the later, you will need to respond back whether or not you still want to be in consideration. Last year phone calls were made to those accepted early in March, and I believe wait-list notices were sent later in the month.

I hope this helps. Good luck to you.

My acceptance letter said March 30th too.
I haven’t gotten any rejection/still being considered letter.
Does the fact that I’ve not received a rejection mean good things?

At the audition they told us rejections would go out within a week possibly two because they wanted us to move on as soon as possible with other choices. Pace is my daughters top choice, she loved it at Pace, and we are hoping not to hear anything for awhile. ;o)

I guess its a good sign that its been 2 weeks and I haven’t heard anything? Lets hope so!

I got a Pace academic acceptance and $19,000 scholarship! Yay! My audition is next weekend, so, very soon I’ll be in the same boat of all you…waiting for a MT decision. :)

I auditioned for the BFA acting program at pace on February 26th, and I still haven’t heard anything back. I haven’t gotten an email from them either. Am I to assume that this is a good sign?

Caseypuppy1 = D auditioned same day as you. Denial came in the mail today. Sassystage, D was accepted to the school and given $25,000 so it is not completely ruled out yet. We will wait for the rest to come through.

Auditioned Feb.26th… still no news in today’s mail.

Shoot – kiddo auditioned Feb 5th…and is still waiting for some news…

My daughter auditioned on Feb. 27th and we still have not received any news either. This sure will make you crazy.

My daughter auditioned February 6. Received MT rejection in the mail on Saturday (but it included acceptance for acting).
