What type of food is there on and off campus and what times are they open?

Muir has its own dining hall, Pines, which is open 7am-8pm on weekdays and 10am-8pm on weekends. Certainly, you can always go to other dining halls of the other colleges if you wish. OVT (Marshall’s dining hall) is very close by, and you can also go to Goody’s (also in Marshall) for late night snacks (they are open until 1 AM on weekdays and 10 PM on weekends).

As for off campus, well there are many options, depending on how far you’re willing to travel. You can always taking the free bus to UTC, which is a mall with like a variety of food. If you have a car, you can always go further and explore the various eateries around SD, like Phil’s BBQ. However, if you’re lazy and just want to stay in your dorm, you can always order Delsushi, which is only open from 7pm - 3am and offers free delivery to your dorm.

I hope this answers your questions.

What is the general pricing for foods in dining?
Is it generally cheaper to eat at the price center?

If you live on campus, you’re forced to get dining dollars, more if you’re in res halls. For me personally, I never go to price center since you usually have enough dining dollars to last you the year. If you don’t use them up by year end, you lose them too.

As for dining halls, you can usually get a decent meal for ~7 dollars

^I agree with that. And quite honestly, even though any other person you ask will totally disagree with me, THE FOOD IS NOT THAT BAD AT ALL!

^
Haha yeah, I don’t find the food terrible at all, but I’m more of a “eat to live” rather than a “live to eat” type of person. The food at least looks healthy compared to other food places that serve hundreds of people.

^ i feel the same way
my friends are all like, “oh it’s terrible! i hate it!” blah blah
but it’s really not that bad.
sure, they may not always have the best variety, but really, what do you expect?

plus there’s the markets where you can just grab something else and microwave or the likes
