I'm a little confused as to the decision you get for the schools you applied for. Do they decide whether to accept/reject you from each school or if you get accepted to your first choice, they don't decide for the rest?

i don't have an answer to your question...but i completely forgot that we had to list our preferences on the supplement. is there anyway to go back and see which ones we applied to? i only remember my top choice because i didn't want to go to the others very much

On your online account you see the order of your schools and next to each it says Decision: ______ and right now its just blank.

You will get a decision for every school you applied to, no matter how you ranked your choices.

I only applied to SCS. Could I still get accpeted to another school or the university in general?

I think its by college but I am not for sure. If someone applied to 4 of the colleges and this was based on one acceptance then they would have too many majors. But then again maybe you can choose which colleges you would like to attend once accepted.

You only can get accepted to colleges that you apply to, but you get a decision for every college. If you decide to attend CMU, you tell them which college you want to be in, of the ones that accepted you. You can double major/minor in a college you were not accepted to, provided you meet any requirements that there might be (minimum GPA, application to program, just being alive...). There is no general university acceptance.

"I only applied to SCS. Could I still get accpeted to another school or the university in general?"
I actually think you're out of luck if SCS denies you.
I hope everyone else took the time to select a number from the drop-down ranking list for other colleges.
