Hey guys, I had my housing date yesterday and ended up choosing a two room triple in Murphree. I was wondering how convenient Murphree is relative to eating, classes, gym, ect... Also is it a good place for freshman? From what I hear broward it just a little too crazy for me. I like to party every once in a while, like maybe weekends, but not like 24/7. I want to be pretty social but I plan on doing a lot of IM for that kind of stuff. Experiences with Murphree? Or two room triples?

My daughter just got in Murphree…she signed up in early April for a 2 room triple. Her room number starts with a 07…what floor would that be on? There was a Moe’s really close and the football stadium is right there too. I believe there was a gym close to there also. She really liked the location. She has heard that there are upperclassman there and it is fairly quiet.

Hmm im not sure what floor that would be but I like the idea of having all those things so close. Plus having a quiet place to go will probably be nice too

I live in the Murphree area, and the convenience of everything is awesome. Not only is it close to many of the classes, but it’s also close to midtown and the gym. Rooms are a lot nicer in my opinion than dorms like Broward. Overall, I love the area. I would reccommend Murphree to anyone.

@chinadoll thanks for your input, that’s very reassuring

If her room number starts with 7 then she is in section G of Murphree. G faces Thomas hall.

I fully agree with this statement.

asamj…how can you tell what floor it is??? I read somewhere that first floor is guys, 2 and 3 are girls and 4th is guys. She is soooo excited.
