OH I just realized that I listen to Elliot Smith when in need of calming down... well it's kind of depressing but still works for me

funeral march during sat prep is wonderful

Ah, well, people who don't like his music still tend to appreciate his writing. He's known as the next Bob Dylan in terms of being a lyricist.

To all the Bay Area people... I'm goin to the BOMB CONCERT!!! I just got tickets about three minutes ago... so lets see my music at the moment hasta be Dem Francise Boyz- Lead Wit It...

ew bright eyes is overrated.

chopin is timeless. nice choice, newslang.

I know this sounds crazy because he's more celebrated for his overtures, symphonies, etc. but Tchaikovsky has some very good works on the piano...

btw my entire life I've listened to classical...my favorite composers:

Dvor

I'm in love with Beethoven.

But I'm listening to Supposed to Be by Jack Johnson right now. He makes me want to lay out on the beach with a ukelele and a coconut drink.

BOMB?! LUCKY!
lol.

i didnt even THINK of going kuz of AP. ugh.

currently: Yadadamean - the A's
it's such a stupid song, but i still love it.

gotta rep the bay.

mmm...Jack Johnson =] so nice and relaxing

currently

Sugar Cube -- Porcelain and the Tramps

In terms of classical, I'm a Bartok person myself. And Beethoven. And Saint-Saens (Symphony No. 3 in C Minor...oh my gosh...I have goosebumps just thinking about it...)

@ Lecorbeau:

Yeah, Chopin is one of my favorite composers. I've been playing the piano for what seems like a lifetime, and I enjoy having many options when it comes to his waltzes, polonaises, nocturnes, etc. His music is so versatile that I can never really get tired of him. Not to say I don't like other composers, of course.

For all you listeners of classical music out there, what do you think about Baroque music? Like Bach, Handel, Vivaldi... I personally find them ordinary. I don't see anything unique about them and Vivaldi's "La Primavera" makes me want to stab myself in the left tit sometimes.

Current music: The Mamas and The Papas - California Dreamin'

I kind of really dislike Baroque. It annoys me.

Listening to: Crosses by Jose Gonzalez

I think my favorite classical of all time is Chopin and Rachmaninoff. About baroque....I used to hate bach actually and dreaded playing it....but some of the preludes/fugues are actually pretty complex and interesting I think, and some are just really simple and pretty. But...it's DEFINATELY not my choice of listening or favorite..

and is anyone here going to minor in music or try out for private music lessons? Cuz I'm going to do that for piano but I haven't heard of anyone doing that before really..

I've considered it. Piano, eh? I play flute and oboe.

steady as she goes by the Raconteurs

Young Joc- Goin down... it has an alright beat... just dont pay attention to his stupid lyrics...

DBSK-My Destiny

woo for unknown artists! at least in us, they're one of the biggest korean pop groups right now. which doesnt explain why i'm listning to it, as strangely enough, i am not korean.

thrilling, the song has changed. its on bond-explosive. anyone else listen to bond?

flute and oboe...niice! yeah well i will probably have to prepare for that audition like all summer...or i might get stabbed by my family members or something

I Listen To Bond!!!

Ah yes, Bond, nothing better than a bunch of hot girls with violins and whatnot.

Their music is fun too. :)

haha you guys rock for even knowing who they are. i find some strange pleasure in listening to mainstream artists that people in the US don't know. Which used to be daniel powter, but NOOOOO not anymore. it makes me mad. haha.
