Music classes for non-majors

Does anyone know if non-music majors can take classes at the Music school? If so, are there any restrictions I should know about?

Yes. You just have to audition.

Cool. Thanks mjr2013. Much appreciated.

@Alexandre here is some more info. I was remarkably short winded in the last response.

Contrary to a lot of programs, music majors at Michigan are actually discouraged (or at the very least not encouraged) from joining the marching band, because they want a focus more on classical works, that their major is more intended for. Other schools (Michigan State comes to mind) actually require their music majors join the marching band.

You can see on the link, but there are two concert bands at Michigan specifically designed for non-music majors.
