<p>Has anyone been to or researched Fairfield Univ in CT for a music ed major? It seems it's a few years old and was wondering about experiences in that major at that school - success in the classes, student teaching and employment afterward? They seem to be most well known for Nursing - our h.s. was rather negative about Music Ed there. Thanks very much!</p>
<p>I live near Fairfield and didn’t even know they had music education! When I looked it up, it seems like a nice program, but it’s only a minor in music education.</p>
<p>Fairfield has a generally good reputation for academics around here, and it’s a lovely campus in a nice area. For music ed in Connecticut, most people seem to end up at UConn, Hartt or Western Connecticut State University.</p>
<p>For schools in Connecticut you’d also want to consider Connecticut College, which offers a BA with a major in music ed (with certification).</p>
