Music major and premed track

My daughter was accepted to Blair school of music. I really appreciate any advices from your experiences on:

  1. Is it managable to do premed track at the same time?
  2. What major should she choose as a second major that mose related to premed without extra course work?

You don’t need a second major. Here are the courses your D has to take to prepare for the MCAT:
General Biology 1 and 2 with lab
General Chemistry 1 and 2 with lab
Organic Chemistry 1 and 2 with lab
Biochemistry
General Physics 1 and 2 with lab (not sure about the lab)

Those are the main courses I know there a bit more but these are the core ones.

It is very doable to do premed classes with Blair load. I know two of D’s friends who do that.

Depending on what she likes, for 2nd major. D is CS premed who decided to add chem minor. After all the premed classes, she just needs to add one more chem class for chem minor. I bet there won’t be much more for a chem major?
