My son will be graduating HS next year so we are looking at options - does anyone have any feedback about the music program at CalPoly? Some questions we have, if you are able to answer any of them: Is it a good quality program; is it considered harder to get into (do you know the admitted %?); is a 5th year of math really necessary if you are applying as a music major? Thank you!
I cannot address the quality of the Music major program at SLO, but I can give you some admission statistical information.
There are no target projections for 2020-2021 for the Music major so I do not know if they plan to phase the program out or they just did not list any information for the year.
For 2019, they projected 189 applicants for 20 spots. SLO enrolled 13 Freshman and had a total of 59 Undergrads in their program.
