Question for current students - How nice are the practice rooms at Hamilton? The website is unclear about where they are - do they have windows or are they in the basement? Also, are they readily available to non-music majors? Son is a pianist. Also wondering generally if they are easily available.

Hamilton is about to open a brand new, start of the art theater and arts center. That is where the practice rooms will be.

I searched on line and saw a couple of articles on the center, but it looks like it’s for theater and studio art, not music.

I am an undergraduate, non-music major at Hamilton. The practice rooms are in what used to be shared with the old art building. They are readily available for anyone who wants to use them. There are some upstairs, and some in the basement. The ones in the basement, and a few upstairs are locked and available to students taking music lessons at Hamilton. The remaining rooms upstairs are available to anyone else. There are sign up sheets on the door so you can reserve a weekly time slot if you’d like, but it’s not totally necessary.
