I was looking through the Penn website, but I didn't find any information about Penn accepting music supplements to help with admission. So I was wondering whether Penn accepts music supplements or not as part of an application.
Thanks.

^ very interested in this question as well. What instrument do you play?

yeah I play the viola.

Bump - would like to know for violinist

When I applied, I sent a CD (cello) to the admissions office with the CommonApp arts supplement page as well as track information, and I assume they sent it to the appropriate person. Then again, that was two years ago and things may be different. I’d call the admissions office and ask if you want a fast answer (as opposed to email). Did it say anything on the website under admissions? I don’t think the music department page addresses it.

To be honest, Penn’s embarrassingly weak performance program would suggest you may not get that much leverage out of a strong supplement, but send it anyway.

I was at a meeting last year and this question came up. The admissions counselor said that unless you are planning to go into performance or major in music, the supplement will probably end up being stored somewhere because they get a lot of them. I thought about doing one but I got in so I was fine without it.
