Since there are still twenty-odd days until March 9, and since I now live off CC posts, why not create a new thread? What kind of music do you listen to pass the time?

Feel free to post as many times as you want; I know that I, myself, am always changing when it comes to song choices.

Oh god this is so bad of me to say, but I’m really glad I’m not the only anxious one surviving off of CC likes its the last drip of fresh water. I’m into alternative rock/indie acoustic. My favorite “pick me ups” are

Celebrity status - by Marianas trench
You make my dreams - hall and oats (not indie, but love it)
The outsiders - NEEDTOBREATHE
Food chain - Eric Hutchinson
Something Beautiful - NEEDTOBREATHE
apple- joe brooks

I’d link them but I’m on the iPad. None of them are screamo or anything. Celebrity status is the only one with loud drums. Others are mostly acoustic with a touch of rock.

There’s nothing wrong with screamo. Honestly, nothing beats real screamo that emerged in the early 90s/modern bands with the same musical vibe in terms of emotion and passion.

I love anything by The Script (especially the two songs Hurricanes and Exit Wound), Ed Sheeran, and some Plain White T’s songs. Taylor Swift new album is also great. My favorite are Girl At Home and Lucky One.

^ I’m a Swiftie at heart; it came from living in a community that was very generic. I haven’t been exposed to that side of a range of music-except for the songs on the radio so seeing all these unfamiliar names was really cool! The songs our school listens to go like pop-pop-pop-poppity-pop, like bubblegum. It gets rather tedious at times.

Red was a very good album, and it seems that Swift is going to be breaking into pop territory now-but with a noticeable Swift edge. And coincidentally, I have “Lucky One” on repeat right now (:

And yes, I live off CC right now. The app is smack in the center of my phone…I frequently go on it; I’m addicted! Haha.

For anyone like me who–embarrassingly–listens to mainstream music, here are a few titles you can check out.
2 Reasons, Pass That Dutch, Swagger Jagger, Scream & Shout, Va Va Voom, Fade Into Darkness, Don’t Trust Me, Who’s That Chick, Hotel Room Service, Bass Down Low, Beauty and a Beat, International Love.

-I have more but I doubt anyone is as mainstream as me-

^ I’m very mainstream as well. Mainstream buddies! (: What other songs do you listen to? I have Victorious, “LA Boyz” on right now. Don’t kill me! D: Not my fault my friends are all pop fangirls; it’s contagious!

I’m a major fan of Fun. actually. Theire music is pretty orginal and I love the lyrics Look up The Gambler or Stars to see the range of stuff they produce.

For more Harry Potter songs, I also like Book 8, Accio Deathly Hallows, Dead Boy’s Girlfriend all by Hank Green.

ALSO for Harry Potter: the Potter Puppet Pals - The Mysterious Ticking Noise. I will fight you, their songs do count.

@GoldenRatio Haha nice to see a fellow mainstream-er. I heard LA Boyz and liked it, although I feel like they overexpose Victoria and don’t give enough time to Ariana Grande who don’t tell anybody sings waaay better than Victoria. But yeah the song was good, have you heard ‘Wild Heart’ by Sabi?

^ I agree. Ariana Grande is not getting as much recognition as she deserves. Do you watch Victorious? I often find myself clicking over to Nickoloden; it’s so relaxing and uplifting I’ve heard the song before, but I didn’t know it was by Sabi!

@GoldenRatio I, admittedly, still watch Nick shows. Well, at least I did, before all the good shows (iCarly, True Jackson V.P, etc.) got cancelled in favor of crapshot shows that should have never been created. Same with Disney. They pull half-a-- shows out of their butt and expect kids to like it because they’re too young to remember That’s So Raven, Hannah Montana, Lizzie McGuire, etc. Oh yeah neither did I, I actually thought it was by Rihanna for a while, but no, it’s Sabi!

^ I know, right? It seems like the quality of the shows is sloping drastically. I couldn’t believe it when iCarly was cancelled; it was my go-to laugh-a-lot T.V. show, because I knew they could crack me up. But now? I don’t really want to go there…good thing I have most of the episodes on TiVo!

The song really did sound like Rihanna! And then I saw “Sabi,” and I went “O_O?!”
