Musical Taste

yawn thats a good muse list, i approve
butterflies and hurricanes is possibly my favorite, although i might add sunburn, feeling good, apocolypse please
i really want to see them live

Butterflies & Hurricanes is awesome due to its piano cadenza (seriously, I wish more rock bands would do that type of thing).

Sunburn has an ethereal guitar solo.

The megaphone verse of Feeling Good is transcendentally beautiful.

Apocalypse Please is just about the gnarliest piano rock song ever. It is a BEAST live! Far heavier than most electric-guitar-driven songs!

I've seen 'em live twice. Redundant set lists aside, the performances were awesome. :)

I just wish they'd play more old songs. :(

ahhh yeah everyone says theyre the best live

i agree with your song analysis-es haha
i just love how in butterflies and hurricanes the piano kind of reflects the lyrics/the butterfly effect theory so well

do you guys not like knights of cydonia because you actually dont like it, or because it was on guitarhero/rockband (i dont remember which, or is it on both? w/e) i think its a fun song to drive to, same with all muse. i think my favorites are (in no real order) feeling good, new born, city of delusion, knights of cydonia, and time is running out. i listened to them that much lately, but i used to listen to them a lot when i shot pool.

Well, I liked it when the live leak first came out, but the album version was disappointingly stale and clean-cut. - it lost a lot of the Iron Maiden "rawness".

Plus, it's nauseatingly over-played. >_<

Also, of course, there are people like my brother, who, despite my efforts, HATED Muse.

Hated Muse, that is, until KoC was on Guitar Hero. Then all of a sudden he loved them! -_-

its pretty good, but again overplayed
i love when songs are on guitarhero/rockband makes them so much more fun!

yeah, i think it never got over played for me cos i dont really play either of them that often...and i first heard it when i saw the video, which makes it so much more ridiculous

I didn't like Knights of Cydonia until I saw the live version on DVD.

I'd kill to see them live, but they aren't touring anywhere near here :/

I love Map of Your Head too! Way underrated song

Map of Your Head is SOOOOOOO beautiful. Muse at it's all time best. <3

So simple, and yet such a classic song.

You're unique on this site. Unique=good! The same=boring.

hip hop, alternative, and some acoustic stuff:

artists like Kanye, Lupe Fiasco, Common, Coldplay, Maroon 5, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jack Johnson, etc. pretty wide range of stuff.

oh yeah, and people who like Dave Matthew's band creep me out with their knowledgability and cult-like admiration of DMB. its just weird.

brobrobrobrobro
