Elliott Smith seems to be the indie fanboy’s wet dream. I like him, but I really think his death played a big influence on how big he became and it’s been blown out of proportion. Kind of like Jeff Buckley

Yeah, I mean that is true, but most people don’t know his significance. I think a lot of people know of him, but they often don’t REALLY know his music. Most of them just see “Oh yeah, he killed himself.” But man, his happy songs are a whole lot happier than any other “happy” songs I’ve ever heard, and his sad songs are sadder than any other “sad” songs I’ve ever heard. I think his music is by far the most human and easy to relate to.

Trust me, there’s a HUGE following with him of people that really care and cared about him when he was alive. It’s one big huge obsessive family! sweetaddy.com

I read In the Aeroplane Over the Sea’s 33 1/3 and it was pretty good. I’ll definitely buy the XO book. If you haven’t read “Elliott Smith” by Autumn de Wilde you should check it out, though its not the most informative book ever.

Yeah, actually I went over there after I posted here and saw that. I lurk that board once in a while and I’ll probably make a username and start posting soon.

You should! There’s so much great information to be found there. It’s kind of a clique, but I like to shake 'em up alot. ****es them off, but some people really like that so I still persist. Haha

^ Take a Bow is actually probably my favorite from BH&R.

But these are my all-time top favorite Muse songs:

New Born
Bliss
Space Dementia
Plug In Baby
Citizen Erased
Microcuts
Screenager
Piano Thing
Map of Your Head
In Your World
Falling Away With You
Blackout
Butterflies & Hurricanes
The Small Print

Every single one of them has a special place in my heart. <3

And that’s why it bothers me that Last.fm thinks I’ve only listened to Muse twice,
when really it’s probably exceeded 1k times. >:[
