How difficult was the audition? How much work is the minor itself? Is it really intense/serious, or do people seem to enjoy it?

I just finished my freshman year at USC, and I recently became more interested in singing and musical theater. However, I've never had any voice lessons or experience in that field before, so this upcoming fall semester I'm taking Class Voice. If I enjoy it, I might consider auditioning for the Musical theater minor. I wanted to take a lot of classes in that minor, anyways, like Class Voice, dance, guitar, and maybe Individual Instruction. If I do that, though, I probably wouldn't be able to minor in Consumer Behavior, unless I take a lot of summer school (I'm switching to Comm major with a minor in Interational Urban Development). I think Musical theater would be something I would enjoy, but I just want to make sure that the workshops and other classes aren't going to consume my time. Any advice? Much appreciated! :)
