And if you eat there, go next door to Cupcake Collection for dessert. Their cupcakes are better and cheaper than Gigi’s. Plus, the people who own it are super nice.

Satay on Elliston (just off of West End) does not have a large menu, but the food is excellent. Plus, I believe the most expensive item is $9-10.

Noshville’s pretty good and has large portions (~$10). Cabana (~$10) has pretty good pizza and I think they’re buy 1 get 1 free or at least there was some deal on them when my friends and I went out there last week. Qdoba is pretty nice if you’re ever up real late on a Thursday-Sunday(?)

I agree wholeheartedly with the recommendation of Monell’s. Please go there as much as possible so that it always stays open, and then whenever I return to Nashville, I can eat there!

And BTW, Las Paletas Gourmet Popsicles is horrible, vastly overrated. If you wanted ice cream, surprisingly the Whole Foods in Nashville has Gelatos that are amazing-- Closest thing I’ve found in America that resembles the ones I have in Spain/Italy.

It’s interesting how everybody has different tastes. I had a gelato at Whole Foods and thought it was so awful I had to toss it and asked for my money back! It tasted nothing like the gelato I had in Italy!

European ice cream or not, I stand by my opinion that the Whole Foods gelato was horrible. Everyone’ palate is different and living in Spain for 6 years doesn’t impress me that anyone is an expert in gelato. So, I won’t eat their gelato and will go to Las Paletas, so eat all the Whole Foods gelato you wish and stay away from Las Paletas. You dont have to be so arrogant, childish and insulting over such a minor issue.
