Like the title says, I'd like to start a list of some specific things you consider must-haves for boarding school.

I'm drawing a blank now... Would someone else start it off? :)

An adventurous spirit, friendliness and an open mind

Full size mirror!!! I noticed that in the dorm room I saw at hotchkiss the person brought their own mirror, so the school doesn’t provide one. I can’t live without one that’s full size!!!

Planner (Going to make another attempt at being organized)
Phone and at least four other ways to stay in touch :)

An open mind. You will have to learn to live with kids that have opinion differing vastly from your own.

Bump…

Personal set of utensils (fork, knife, spoon) and lots of food that doesn’t go bad (those little kraft mac and cheese things or ramen are favorites in my dorm)

ATM/debit card-- especially if you have to fly to school/home

Guys, you REALLY need a shower caddy. It is a must have. Also, a robe or a large towel to take into showers with you might be helpful. Extension cords also help!
