My Admission Rep called me.....

If the decisions really are available on the 13th? I don't have exams or anything then, but my parents will still be in Paris, so I'd be all alone. Which, if I'm rejected, would be annoying. But if I'm accepted, I'll be running around the house like a maniac without fear of retribution!

and one more thing: acceptance party at dtown's place!

the 13th?!?!? ahhhh thats BAD!
way to ruin my 18th birthday.... although it could potentially MAKE my 18th birthday the best day of my life...

congrats lacrosseboy, thats possibly one of the 4 coolest things that could ever happen. that and a likely letter. anybody else not get their postcard yet?

I didn't get it yet...but I'm glad, because I'm hoping that I can mail them my first quarter grades that just came out before they review/make a final decision on my file.

Are we supposed to send our first quarter grades? And should I? I got All A's, but one solid B in APUS

My area officer said that it's optional.

I still don't have a postcard. :(

In the Ivy League's official statement on admissions it says that likely candidates can only be contacted by admissions reps by mail, not by phone. Just check any Ivy League application. Not to mention this kid doesn't have his facts straight.

I still don't have a postcard either! :(

Interesting. I wasn't entirely sold on the story in the first place.

"I really i'm impressed on how you raised $50000 so that African families in africa can get vaccines and other medical treatment."

that sentence really threw me for a loop.
after i read it again and realized what was wrong with it

garyan, I just read the ivy statement... where is the part you are referring to? Maybe I skimmed over it and missed it, but I can't find it.

hmmmmmmmmm

It's under #3, Early Evaluation procedure.

"As determined by each institution, admissions officers may choose to advise applicants on the probability of admission. Institutions may issue probablistic communications only in writing, from the office of admission..."

Ah, I see. Thanks Gary

are you trying to convince the intelligent individuals of CC that a seasoned admissions rep covering Philadelphia, which every knows is a key urban recruiting area of Yale v. Penn, would risk his job by violating Ivy League regulations just to leave you a phone message that says nothing except that he's "really" impressed?

i don't usually like to call people out when i see them lie but it sickens me to see you abuse the general trust that people have

way to lose your credibility
