My biggest college fear

Im not the type of student that does their best in school thats why i skrewed up highschool and i have to go to a community college untill i get 30 credit hours. How much harder is college than high school. How well did u do at first wheen you first arrived. What kept you motivated. If i mess up my first year my mom isnt going to pay for any more school and i dont want to get a student loan so i cant skrew this up. Please tell me what i absolutely have to know thanks.

I heard Community College is not that different from High School. There are just more reading involved I guess.

Watch the Pursuit of Happyness or something. You need to be inspired.

I think the main difference I found between high school and community college is that there are more assignments in high school, meaning that if you’re a slacker, you had plenty of opportunities to improve your grade. In most college classes, however, my final average is only made up of five or six grades, so doing poorly in even one will kill your average. You really have to stay on your feet.

There really is no big difference but only you have to work hard. In HS your so use to your teachers being after you to do ur hw and turn in assigments and at college its not like that. I believe that you’ll do great just dont slack off and it will all be cool.

Community college isn’t all that different than high school. Especially in my area, as there’s a community college right next to my high school, it’s practically high school 2.0. (Though I won’t be going, I know a lot of my high school is)

IMO, high school had more daily work than college.

Yeah community college work isn’t that much more than high school but added on a little more extra work. You get more leeway and more freedom that you would at high school. It’s definitely not as intense as if you would be attending a university or something. Just study really hard and try to learn from the mistakes that you had in high school and you will do fine.

Well I don’t know if this will help you, but I hate high school. I did really bad in 9th and 10th grade. Then this year, my junior year, I decided that I was gonna graduate high school early. I did much better in school this year, and I took 2 college classes. I took a writing class and got a C+, and I took intro to psychology class and got a D(but we crammed 2 lessons in one class because it was a summer session class and not a regular class)
So I did really good in high school this year, and only okay in my college classes(they were classes at a community college too)

Do not attempt to skip a year of high school so you can go to jc. Your parents, teachers, and principal are the only people with enough knowledge to make that decision. I have never heard of a kid skipping a grade because he flunked out 9th and 10th grade.

community college is easier than high school
