My chance at Sarah Lawrence College?

Hello, there. It would sooth my nerves a bit if I could be given some feedback regarding my chance of being accepted into Sarah Lawrence College. I'm hoping to obtain a better understanding of my odds and receive tips on how to shape my application.

I've just started my junior year, so this is all of my notable information thus far.

Gender: Female
Ethnicity: Caucasian
State of Residency: Texas
Family Income: Less than 35,000/year -- Does lower-middle class status give me an edge? I'm sure that it doesn't, but what the hey!
Unweighted GPA (Freshmen + Sophomore Year): 3.35
Weighted GPA (Same): 4.77
Class Rank: Top 10-20%

Volunteer Hours (F/So): 60+

Youth for Christ (F): President -- I probably won't include this; I'm no longer a Christian and the college is ranked as one of the least religious in the US.

Business Professionals of America (So/Jr): Vice-President - President

Curtain Call Thespian Society (F/So/Jr): Member - Note that this is the theatre club. I have been heavily involved since the start of my freshmen year, working as both an actress and technical assistant.

Academic Decathlon (Jr): Member

Chemistry Club (Jr): Secretary

National Honor Society (Jr): Member

There are also awards I've won for these different activities that I won't include on this listing because they probably won't affect your assessment.

Questions:
- If I score well on the SATs, should I include my results?
- What is the best type of essay to submit?
- Are there any similar colleges that I should consider as safety?

Shameless bump.

SLC is a place where SATs or ACTs don’t count at all.

That’s true. It does mention on their website that students could send them if they felt they would enhance their chances. I’ll only send my SAT if I make a 2000, though.

Yes, SAT and ACT are not important at SLC. Don’t send them unless you get like above 2200.
I think that it might be a tiny bit of a reach, but you seem like you could get in.

SLC looks for money, but they also are trying to get more “normal”. You’ll have a shot if you wow them in your interviews and writing samples. Their admissions process values interviews and writing VERY heavily. Try to build a rapport with your interviewer.
