My chance of getting into USC

I know perfectly well that there is no way to know for sure until the letters start coming in the mail, but I am still human and I want to if know they will really give me a strong chance to be a Trojan next year.

I'm applying as an Undecided. My GPA is 2.70 and my first SAT scores was 1830 (I'm currently waiting for my second scores). Yes I know it sounds bad, but I'm also Student Body President at my school, also a president/founder of a club, and a member of an other club.

I went to a different school before where I got only C's(they were regular classes), but I wrote an essay explaining that I was going thorough some emotions because my dad being sentence to jail for sexual assaulting my half-sister and an other child and how I used to be beaten by my sister because of it.

Also, right now I'm going to a school that only offers independent study, and that school offers almost no AP and Honors classes, and the ones we do have are all online that our councilors STRONGLY recommends we do NOT take because they are so bad. And right now I only get A's and B's.

Also, I got 3 really good letters of recommendation(at least that is what they told me)

I just want to know if I have a good chance or not

Unfortunately, no, your chances are not good. The average GPA of admitted students last year was 3.82 and average SAT was over 2000 but…as you say, no one knows until the letters come out. Maybe your story is compelling enough…do you have other schools you have applied to that you would be happy to attend? Good luck!

You might get in but it is going to be hard. I wish you luck. You could always transfer in though later on. I hope you get in!
