That’s incredible! Good job. My school did not allow freshmen or sophomores to take AP classes, I am jealous. Haha, I love how you got a 4 in AP Psych and 5 in everything else.

Unless they were to be satanic and not accept you for being white and male, you have a great chance! The only other thing you could possibly do would be a bit more volunteerism, maybe start a company to top it off? Do you have a specific niche?

Good luck paying for it once you get in, though.

You WILL get at least a portion of your tuition paid for by the school and federal grants if you get into an ivy league school, assuming you are in the 60,000 to 80,00 bracket.

“The only other thing you could possibly do would be a bit more volunteerism, maybe start a company to top it off?”

I don’t necessarily agree with the idea that he has to start a company to improve his application. First of all, you are a rising senior, so starting a company right now will probably be an unnecessary headache. Plus, it will look like a last-minute attempt to spruce up your resume rather than something you genuinely care about.

My advice would be to show depth, leadership, and commitment in the two or three EC’s that you care about the most, and definitely write good essays. Number-wise, you’re looking pretty good! Best of luck :)

MIT
Harvard- mid to high reach, just like everyone else
Stanford- low to mid reach
Northwestern- match/maybe low reach
UPenn- low to mid reach
Princeton- see Harvard
CalTech- see Harvard

I hope you have a safety because even the most amazing applicants get denied at these schools. They are very unpredictable. But, honestly, you have worked hard in high school. So, you have as good as a chance as possible. Great job! Chance me back http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1173642-new-member-chance-me-please.html</a></p>

@Zemlyanika
I took the classes for all the others but Psych i self-studied.

All of these schools are crapshoots, in my opinion. You have great stats, but so does everyone else!

Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1175463-chance-me-before-i-start-essays.html</a></p>

I disagree, I do not think those schools are all a crapshoot. I know plenty of qualified people that have gotten in and deserved it and I know plenty of people who have rightfully been denied. Some just have better chances than others at these schools and I want to know how I stack up.

Probably in at one of HYP if ur lucky, MIT rejected, UPenn in or waitlist. Caltech rejected or waitlist. In at NU. Just honest opinions.

what else?

I agree with Andrew, although I wouldn’t say for sure that you’d be able to get into NU. Your academics are definitely very strong, and your ECs are pretty decent, but not extraordinary.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1179664-meow-i-like-princeton-williams-yale-dartmouth-guess-if-they-like-me-back.html</a></p>

what do you think would give me a better chance?

bump…,./…

you need more EC’c try an internship during the fall, for bussinesses, you just need to know somebody!

How did your AP tests scores change from one thread to the next? ■■■■■.

@CollegeBound700

The first thread was a prediction, I hadn’t actually gotten my scores yet. I got my scores and then posted this thread. I am not a ■■■■■

what else?

bump…

you seem like a really competitive applicant, but almost everyone who applies to those schools is. I’d say maybe one HYPSM. Work a little more on your ECs and write a solid essay too!
