My chances at MIT??

<p>Ok, right now I completed my junior year in high school and in 2 months I will be entering my senior year. I was wondering what are the chances that I can get into MIT & what do I need to improve on.</p>

<p>Grades:
Freshmen year: 3.67 3.83
Sophomore year: 4.33 4.33 (ap world history & 1 honors)
Junior year: 5.0 5.0 (AP calc, AP chinese, AP chemistry, AP us history & 1 honors (eng)
Senior year's max gpa: 4.83 4.83 (ap english, APES, ap government, honors physics)
I will be self studying for the following AP exams: Physics C mechanics, electricity and magnetism, Calc BC</p>

AP world: 4
AP CALC AB: 5
AP Chemistry: 5
AP Us history: 5
AP Chinese: 5</p>

<p>SAT scores:
2140 (highest so far): 800 math 700 writing 640 Critical Reading
Subject tests:
800 Math II 770 Chemistry 720 Us history 500 English</p>

<p>Extra-curricular activities:
-Track & Cross country team</p>

<p>Other:
2010 Berkeley Summer sessions, I took a class of computer science.</p>

<p>What are my chances of getting into MIT, and is there anything else that would improve my chances?</p>

<p>Your SAT score is lacking, your EC’s are lacking. Other than that I kind of think you should change your goals.</p>

<p>He’s right on the dot. Your total SAT score should be at the least anywhere from 2200-2300 for MIT. Your ECs show no passion or leadership. Not even ‘I just joined for college stuff’ type of EC’s. Perhaps you forgot? </p>

<p>USH and English SAT II scores are… pity-full at best (ESP. English)</p>
