My chances at the UCs

<p>Hey guys, i was wondering if u guys could evaluate my Stats. Im a rising junior at a pretty competitive high school in the bay area ranked 57 in nation according to aps or sumthing. </p>

<p>As of now, im aspiring to be a doctor and possibly looking towards an accerlerated BA/MD program but thats all pretty far off. As of now, getting into UCLA or UCSD would be nice.</p>

Weighted:4.0 its really weak =( no honors to take freshman year.</p>

<p>SAT I:2000</p>

<p>I took the SAT in march and got a 2000. =(. I was kinda over confident and didnt study but my score kinda brought me down to earth. I think wen i take it again i can get 2200+.</p>

<p>SAT II:
Chem:750 =( i thought i did better
Chinese:780 i uno about this, i was in like the 40th percentile, lol
IIC: taking in october</p>

<p>Extra Curriculars
Volunteering at Hospital, at Tech Museum, Tutor in study buddy society
Marching band/Drumline, Piano, various clubs</p>

<p>Leadership
um... im working on it? </p>

<p>You have a great shot at all the UCs... even with a 2000.</p>

<p>I have a GREAT news for you........UCs do not count freshman year, especially UCB, and that's straight out from the Berkeley admission officer I know. It's no secret. Even if you get straight Bs in freshman year, I highly doubt it will hurt your chances for any UCs. Just increase your SATs and you'll have a great chance at any UCs</p>

<p>Well, alot of my friends tell me that Precalc is almost like repetition of 2trig, I had Ando and not powers so i believe i learned a lot. Plus my parents recently started freaking out and decided that i should skip precalc and take stats or sumthing my senior year at homestead or sumthing.</p>

<p>Cool. I was Ando's TA this past year, I probably corrected some of your tests. BC might be a bit quick w/o the few things you learn in Pre Calc, but its not impossible. Best of Luck</p>

Yea Calc BC is prolly gonna be a challenge but i think illl be able to manage,
my precalc book is just gathering dust as of now. gotta start looking thru it. =D

<p>see, plenty of APs to take, but like the whole school is taking them. therefore not everybody can take them due to not enough teachers. and the teachers are absolute crap some times.</p>
