Your records look incredible (literally)!

I would stay Stern and maybe Berkeley are very likely, I would say it’s definitely possible for the Ivies and MIT/Standord, but perfect grades won’t make you stand out so it would come down to EC’s. MIT and Stanford are probably the hardest. A lot of these schools are stretches for everybody.

I think you’ll definitively get into Stern and Berkeley. You have a strong chance at the others too.

Your are obviously extremely qualified academically. Being an Asian male doesn’t help, but your business/econ focus, LEAD experience and AIME/USAMO math background should put you in good stead, and your athletics gives some balance. Assuming that you present yourself well you should be in good shape to get in to several of the top schools on your list, if not more.

Good luck!

@renaissancedad I appreciate it

Out of about 1.6 million seniors, about 1,400 earned a 36 on the ACT this year. SAT results are similar. And for your junior year test, only 258 perfect PSAT scores were earned out of 1.595 million test takers.

Inclusive of your grades, your stats are literally perfection. If they were the only criteria, there are not enough of you to fill even a single freshman class for any of the schools that you are considering.

So relax. You are not wasting any entry fees applying to any of these schools. Your ECs are set, do your best on your essays, and hope for the best with any recommendations, interviews, or other factors largely out of your control.

Best wishes!

Literally unbelievable!

@threeplustwo Thank You. Good Luck to you too if you are applying this year.

You’re obviously extremely intelligent, but your ECs leave a lot to be desired - doesn’t seem to be much going on beyond AIME/USAMO. You will certainly get some looks based on talent alone, but I’m not sure that can carry you through admissions at all your top choices.

wow your test scores are crazy. will you be recruited for sports?? especially if you’ve been soccer and baseball captain. Because if so, that will definitely boost your chances a LOT. But either way, I think you’ll get into at least one of the schools listed, so don’t worry, especially if your essays are good quality (which i’m sure they are).

@dblazer, the OP participated in both math teams/competitions and 2 varsity sports at a high level. Those are both time-consuming ECs. Colleges generally prefer to see a lot of effort put in to a few things vs. being spread all over the place without any real commitment. I also read the line “clubs, and volunteers, etc.” to mean that the OP participated in other activities to a lesser degree, and with less involvement and commitment. I may be wrong, but I think he’ll be fine in that regard.

B8

Getting 3 perfect scores (240/2400/36) is like getting struck by lightening 3 times! I doubt that can happen!

Congratulations! You will probably get into most schools on your list.

@uclaparent9 people always get lucky sometimes

@renaissancedad Obviously the math accomplishments indicate a high level of talent/commitment. Sports are tougher to evaluate, unless you’re good enough to be recruited. While they are very time-consuming, being good at sports doesn’t really say much about how you contribute to either the student or local community. This is what adcoms are evaluating when they are looking for who has the most potential. Certainly they count for something, but if you look at the accepted students at HYPSM, a lot of them made a significant contribution to their student/local community as well.

Don’t get me wrong, @CCLOLL you should be able to get some of your top choices, but it’s not a walk-in even with those amazing accomplishments. Ivies pride themselves on how many 2400/4.0s they reject.

I can’t believe people are actually falling for this…

@cappex What do you mean? @CCLOLL stern and berkeley are 100%. others are reach for everyone but you will get into AT LEAST one of them.

Of the schools listed, I would say that NYU and Berkeley are likely to accept you (and by likely, I mean very likely!). However, with the other schools, it truly depends on 3 things: luck, personality (diversity), and extracurricular activities. I bet you will get into some of the higher-tier universities that you listed; however, as the schools are so competitive, it is really hard to predict anyone’s chances. If I had to guess (little to no merit honestly):
Columbia, Dartmouth, Wharton, and UChicago will be easier (generally) to get into than Yale, MIT, Princeton, Stanford, and Harvard.

I think in order to get a better prediction, you should tell us all of the extracurriculars you have done rather than just “club and volunteer etc.”

Good luck!
