<p>School Activities:</p>
<p>Multi-Cultural Club Grade 9,10,11 and 12 officer in Grade 10,11,12 currently Vice President of club responsible for membership, coordinating Multi-Cultural Week, leading the club activities, fundraising and service projects</p>
<p>Science Olympiad Grade 11, 12 current team leader, prepare and participate in science competitions by learning facts and building models, received fourth place in the regional competition and eighth place in the state competition, also I received a medal in one of my events as a junior, as a senior, I received a gold and a fourth place medal at regionals and a silver at the state competition</p>
<p>Junior Statesmen of America Grade 11, 12 currently Treasurer responsible for collecting, depositing and managing money; helping other officers with club activities, attending conventions and helping moderate debates</p>
<p>Foothill Emergency Action Team Grade 10, 11, 12 responsible for helping during emergencies such as fires and earthquakes, keeping everyone safe and calm, search and rescue, administering aid during an emergency</p>
<p>California Scholarship Federation Grade 9, 10, 11, 12 C.S.F. creates activities to help the community through service projects such as Make a Difference Day and Red Ribbon Week. They also inspire students by taking them to nearby colleges.</p>

<p>Governors Scholarship Program Grade 10 receiving a scholarship for academic excellence on standardized tests </p>
<p>Sandia National Laboratory Rising Star Award Grade 11 received this award for my hard work and determination in science and mathematics, limited to two female students in each school</p>
<p>Golden State Exams Honors Grade 8,9 received for placing in the top 10% of students in the state, for Algebra, Geometry and Biology</p>
<p>Science Olympiad Award Grade 11 received for placing in one of my events by the regional competition, also received from the City Council for our achievement in our state competition</p>

<p>Service:</p>
<p>Volunteer Valley Care Hospital Grade 10, 11, 12 help out nurses at the nurses station, take paperwork and lab samples to their locations, help patients families navigate the hospital, and assist other patients and nurses</p>
<p>Volunteer- Veterans Affairs Grade 9, 10, 11 help lead activities for the patients in the nursing home, such as games or shows; read or play games with them, help with different departments, such as physical therapy</p>
<p>Homework Buddies Grade 11 help by leading an elementary school student step by step on their homework, giving spelling tests, playing games, and reading together</p>
<p>Science Buddies Grade 11 help a elementary school and middle school student design a Science Fair project by creating an idea and helping them look for sources to research their information for their Science Fair</p>
<p>Tri-Valley Teen Volunteer Center Grade 9 As a volunteer, we had a committee of students creating a service project that would better the community. We, as a group, planned and oraganized this event along with helping other project that were currently works.</p>
<p>Summer School Office Volunteer Grade 10, 12 As a volunteer at the Summer School, I helped out in the office by keeping students attendance records and following up on their absences by calling their parents. I also took down messages and returned phone calls to parents regarding either attendance or their students progress in the class. </p>
