My Chances at UT?

I re-calculated my GPA and it is a 3.979 GPA weighted on a 4.0 scale. My SAT scores are a 670 in CR, 670 in math, and 720 in writing. I am not in the top 10%, but definitely in the top 15%.

My first choice major is Neuroscience and my second choice major is Psychology (BA). What are my chances of getting in to these majors, and when do I hear back?

Also, how difficult is it to change majors once into the school? I might change from the BA if I get in to a BS in the future, so will this be tough to do?

Bump! Please help y’all

You should know your weighted GPA as well, because I think UT takes that into account over your unweighted. I would say you have good chances though, because you have good SAT scores and you aren’t applying to engineering or an especially difficult school. College of Natural Sciences should take you.

My weighted GPA is a 4.9769 on a weighted 5.0 scale. My only concern was that I am not ranked in the top 10% so will that be detrimental?

Thank you so much for the response. I have been freaking out because I really love UT.

You’ll definitely get in. No offense to the natural sciences people, but it’s very easy to get into the college of natural sciences. It’s really easy to change your major. You just need to fill out a form.

Thank you so much! So I can change from liberal arts if I get into the BA psychology to a natural sciences major easily?

Everyone says switching majors is easy, but is it easy to change from the liberal arts to a natural science at UT?

I really hope I will get into Neuroscience as that is the major I really want.
