NYU. Yeah, I said it. I want to know your purely unscientific chances at me getting into NYU CAS RD for 2010. Im going to keep this short instead of listing every single class I have taken ever. Basically, Ive taken the majority of honors/AP courses at my school. My two AP scores are 3 (AP Eng. Lang. and Comp.) and 4 (US History). My gpa is a 3.70 UW, but onmy transcript to NYU it says 3.73 bc my senior grades for 1st semester were not factored in yet. My SAT I scores are 680CR 650M 670W. SAT II'S: 650MIC 710USH. My EC's include just basic high school stuff, but it looked decent on the app. Ive got at least 100+ hours of community service (on my app I just put I had worked in hospitals though) and what I believe to be an great teacher rec. My essay was about me almost dying. Im puerto rican and in FL. Chances would be very much appreciated!!!!!

Your stats say you're about a match for NYU. Consequently, you have about an average chance - 35 to 40%.

BUMPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP! oh amptron, I was reading about gsp and it seemed alot of kids with my stats got in, so shouldnt that up my chances?

Probably. I was thinking CAS only. But you're right. NYU does direct a lot of kids that don't get into CAS into GSP. Does up your chances. Let's call it 65% overall.

what is gsp?

General Studies Program. If an applicant to NYU is rejected from their school of choice, like CAS, there is a possibility they could be put in this program instead of simply being out right rejected.
