<p>Hi, new member and I am really looking for someone to be realistic with me and either tell me to go for it or I am wasting my time,</p>
<p>I have a 27 on the ACT and a 3.01 (unweighted) GPA, I am looking at 2 schools:</p>
<p>University of Minnesota, Twin Cities</p>
<p>And</p>
<p>Michigan State University</p>
<p>I am out of state at both of these schools and I was just wondering what my chances are at these schools, thank you very much</p>

<p>That link should take you there. All you need to do to find the correct section is click the "college confidential" icon on the top left and scroll down to see where your thread best belongs.</p>

you might start by looking up the middle 50% ACT range for both schools, and what percent of their students are in the top X% of their high school class. from there you might be able to get a good estimate of your chances</p>
