hey, im an incoming junior and i want to apply for engineering to mcgill when im a senior.
i live in the U.S, so i know that hurts my chances. my career gpa is about a 3.65, and i take almost all honors classes. i've already met the precalculus requirement for engineering, and i will be taking AP calc and AP calc AB. i will also be meeting the chemistry requirement this year and the physics requirement my senior year. i will be taking the SAT 2 in the fall for math. im also very involved with extracurriculars. i compete around my state wit my math team, and we are ranked second in the state for our division. im also going to be competing in the science olympiad and other smaller science contects this year. im not sure how much this matters, but im also very involved in marching band (my only non-honors class) in the fall, and the winter percussion ensemble im in took second place in our division in the wgi (winter guard international)percussion world championships. im sorry this is ridiculously long, but im just trying to be thorough. im wondering what my chances are applying to mcgill if i continue on my current course. if any mcgill-knowledgable people can help, its much appreciated.

Hi! You would have gotten a quicker response if you’d posted this in the McGill forum.

The average GPA for enrolled students is 3.7 so you are on track there. The average SAT is 2060/2400. McGill does not consider EC’s for admission, only for major scholarships.
