My chances for Pitzer ED1?

Okay, so here's the thing. I'm not a very competative student, but I really want to go to Pitzer for some reason. Anyways, some background first. I heard Pitzer is really focused on Teacher Recs, and I'm afraid my rec's will be weak. So on a scale of 1-10, I'm guessing my teacher/counselor rec would be somewhere along a 5-6. As for my personal statement, I will be writing about community service, which I heard they are into, so on a scale of 1-10, around an 8-9.
Anyways onto test scores and grades.

SAT: 2220 (R-710, M-800, W-710)
PSAT National Merit Semifinalist (probably going to be finalist soon)

AP Chem - 4
AP Physics C - 4
AP USH - 4
AP Calculus BC - 5

AP French - 3
SAT II Scores:
Math II - 800
Chinese - 800
Physics - 780

GPA Unweighted: 3.52
GPA Weighted: 4.15

Sports: JV Xcountry and Tennis for freshman and sophomore years

Extracurrics:
Concert master of freshman orchestra (during freshman year) and now concert master of Chamber Orchestra
VP of Key Club during Junior Year
Co-President of Interact during Senior Year
Scholarship student at local music school (We do community outreaches, so its a combination of musical learning + community service)
Volunteer at local library

idk, basically, I'm a super bland person with nothing special, but I've gone through some stuff in the past half a year, and suddenly, I'm motivated to go to a school like Pitzer, so in your honest opinion, what are my chances?

Also, my parents don't want me to go to pitzer, but rather a UC due to price differences. They want me to major in Comp Sci/Some engineering field at a UC, but I just want to go to Pitzer. They say if I want to go, I should do normal admission, but I really want to go to a claremont college, and Pitzer is the most realistic for my situation. Also, in terms of financial aid and merit based aid, how good is Pitzer? My parents refuse to pay for my college though I am from a very well off area, and so I need that kind of info too. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, if there is anything I am missing, just ask, if it helps you make your evaluation.

You are certainly qualified academically. My son got into Pitzer with slightly lower GPA, and much lower test scores, but he had a great resume of community service, leadership positions, etc. They are very holistic, and are a test-optional college. They do not offer much financial assistance at all. I think they might have a handful of merit awards, but they did not come close to meeting our EFC. We appealed, because my son loved Pitzer and the Claremont Consortium (CMC rejected him), but they wouldn’t even offer subsidized loans to us. They are a relatively young college, and simply lack some of the super-donors that CMC, Harvey Mudd, and Pomona have. Their ED is binding, and so you will have to go there unless you can prove that their financial offer is truly inadequate. It would definitely give you an edge in the admissions process, but it’s risky if your family is nervous about finances. We understood that, given their limited resources, Pitzer wasn’t willing to spend a lot on a white, middle-class kid from New Jersey. Run the net price calculator on their website. Given your test scores, I don’t know why you think that CMC and Harvey Mudd are entirely out of reach. You’re much likelier to get a good aid package from one of them.

I forgot to mention I’m Asian, and I live in a middle -> upper class neighborhood, so it’s extremely competitive. The average GPA for people who get into Harvey Mudd is around 4.6, and for CMC, it’s around 4.4, all with 2300+ SAT’s, so unless I get lucky, I’m out.

Bro your Very qualified for Pitzer…Pomona on the other hand would be a coin toss. Statistically, the average SAT 2 part is 1200-1420. Considering you have a 1510 is great. I think you’ll get in even with your race.

You really have not articulated why Pitzer is so appealing. Pitzer is looking for applicants that are a good fit with their values, are you that person? Look at their mission, they are very serious about creating a community and student body that wants to create positive things in the world. Are you that student and member of society?
