Chosen as 1/10 to go on a Dinosaur dig at Big Bend National Park, where we helped professional Archaeologist dig up a real dinosaur skeleton that was exhibited at various museums.

<p>middle school accolades won't count, they are looking for your high school career..... presumably you are building up to higher levels in the areas you are strong at.</p>
<p>I'd be careful about listing "finalist" becasue college adcoms know that the decision isn't made until February. Just in case, it may be best to be completely honest.</p>
<p>guitars is absolutely right - you aren't a finalist yet, and even though chances are very high for every semi- to become a finalist, you're not one, and can't list it. It's not a grey area.</p>
<p>It's also the case that the top colleges like Stanford really don't look at National Merit semi- since it's so common in their pool, and tells them nothing they can't tell from your SAT, but that's a different issue</p>
