Hey, with college season coming up, I'm getting a little worried, and I need an honest opinion on my chances for SUNY Bing. I'm a student at Stuyvesant High School with a 81.9 average. The only extracurricular activities I have are 2 (going to be 3) years on the wrestling team. I don't have any AP's, but I'm gonna press for AP Environmental or AP Bio my senior year. Anyone know what my chances are for Bing? Thanks.

You are from Stuyvesant. One of the best High School (Top 5 or 10 I believe) in the Country. So I won’t be surprised if that 81.9% average is probably a 95-100 on other High Schools. Being in Stuyvesant is a pretty big hook, and seemingly that Binghamington isn’t really THAT competitive as top schools, your chances are high.

What’s your SAT/ACT score? Also you need MORE AP classes. Not having AP’s isn’t an excuse. Stuyvesant has thousands of AP’s (sarcasm, but Stuyvesant has alot). Take 3-6 more AP classes. Shows that you can be ready for College work.

You seem as if you are not going to be a senior yet, so don’t worry yet. To improve your chances, do more AP classes, boost up your GPA, and take the SAT/ACT.

What grade are you in???
Whats your SAT score

You definetely have to take at least 1 or 2 AP’s. But other than that I think your in for Bing
