my chances for UCs

im looking to go to any UC besides berkeley and LA(since I don't think I got the scores for them)
my UC gpa:4.00 I think
SAT:
CR:440
Math:720
WR:470
working on better scores
Academic decathlon team, tennis varsity
what are my chances to get into UCSD, UCSB, UCSC, UCI, UCR, UCMerced
and also can someone explain the 4% rule, I just got that in the mail today saying that I qualified
THX EVERYONE

100 PERRRRRRCCCCCCEEEENNNNNNNT!!!!

Because, you're applying to the 'less competitive" UC's, so since you're guaranted to get into ONE OF THEM...you certainly will!

Still apply to all of them, and get your SAT scores up...that'll help
but that's all you really need to do!

ELC (4% Rule) Guarantees a UC for you, probably UC Merced. You are fully guaranteed a lower UC if you complete the required HS courses, even with your SAT scores (you beat the minimum) along with taking 2 SAT IIs anyway. Take Math IIC and something else.

oh yeah I forgot to say my scores suck cause I didn't get any elementary school education and didn't get to take the advanced courses in middleschool(those might affected the score I guess) also for my SAT IIs I decided to take CHem, math and Chinese, i'll prolly get around 780 on chinese and take the higher one of the other 2 subjects
any more comment? lets say UCR gave me the guaranteed admission what are my chances of getting into the other ones listed, also including UCR I guess just ignore the fact for the guranteed admission

kick53rv3:

Assuming you are a California resident,
UCSD: Reach
UCI/UCSB: Slight Reach
UCSC/UCR/UCM: Match

shamefully I do not know what Reach, Slight Reach and Match really stands for, do you care to explain?

lol is that question too basic for everyone to answer?

Reach means that it's unlikely. Slight Reach means it's less unlikely. Match means it's right at your level, and you should be able to get in.

around what SAT score do I need to get to for UCSB and UCSD to be match?

Raise it 200-300 points.

so I need around 1850 for them?
